Seats of Honor

Spring/Summer 2005

Now you can “own” a piece of the new Indian Wells Theater at Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus.

To raise funds for the theater, the “Name that Seat” campaign lets donors honor or memorialize someone while contributing toward the installation of lighting and sound systems. The 300-seat performing arts and lecture venue, which is part of the Indian Wells Center for Educational Excellence, opened in late November.

A $500 tax-deductible gift lets the donor name the seat, where a plaque is installed with the honoree’s name. Donors can memorialize a friend or relative, honor a living person, or even name it after themselves. The theater seat campaign is being run through the PDC’s development office.
